Gracie Barra Belfast Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy: the oldest and most successful club in Northern Ireland.

Moving Forward, Ever Growing

This is a very special year at GB Belfast, as owner and head instructor Graham Keys has just celebrated his 20th Year doing BJJ, in 1998 he travelled across to Birmingham to take part in his first BJJ class with Master Mauricio Gomes and Roger Gracie. Little did he know at the time that Roger would go on to be 10 time world champion and the best competitor BJJ has ever seen, so a good start to his BJJ career.

After 20 years Graham has been dedicated and lucky enough, that he has opened his full time academy and made it a great success. The success of the club is due to the years of dedication and hardship to the sport that he has demonstrated.

Training with some of the best practitioners and competitors of the sport (Mauricio, Roger, Braulio and Victor Estima and even Carlos Gracie Jr himself) , his knowledge in Ireland is second to none and demonstrated by becoming Northern Irelands first ever home grown Black Belt.

We celebrated the 4th year our academy has been open at our full time purpose built Castlereigh Road School. Since we have opened here we have only went from strength to strength, more than tripling our members and continuing to grow our Future Champions Kids classes. What a great time to be part of the worlds fastest growing Martial Art and being part of our Gracie Barra Family.
