Congrats to Chris Kearns, Rab Stewart, Rodney Moore and Danny McKernan for the recent promotion to blue belt from Braulio Estima (04-02-2012).  bjj belfast gracie barra northern ireland Graham Keys becomes Ireland’s third black belt, and the first in Northern Ireland. Results from the Northern Ireland Open are in:
Kyle McClurkin – Bronze – underr 88kg, blue belt. James Rowlinson – Bronze – under 100kg, blue belt. Ciaran Toal – Gold – 80kg+, purple belt. Conor Dunbar – Silver – 80kg+, purple belt. Mark Curry – Bronze – under 80kg, purple belt

Class Times The club runs a series of gi and no-gi classes throughout the week. All classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced unless specifically stated otherwise. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate – get in contact!
All GBNI students, annual insurance is overdue for everyone, so download the form and bring it to class ASAP. We’ll start turning guys away from training if they can’t produce proof of insurance. You can find the form here. And, as a reward, here’s a picture of a puppy.

 Braulio Estima GBNI Braulio Estima will be available for a seminar on the 19th and 20th August 2011. The details are as follows: Friday 19th, 2011 – seminar for GBNI members only, 7.30pm-9.30pm, £10. Saturday 20th, 2011 – Public seminar, Valley Leisure Centre, 1.30pm-4.30pm. The cost is £25 for GBNI members and £35 for non-members, but £30 if you pre-register. Contact seminars@gracie-barra-ni.co.uk to register. This is an absolute bargain. Braulio is a world-class competitor, ADCC champion and one of the best exponents of Jiu Jitsu in the world.
Seminar and Awards Ceremony GBNI head coach Graham Keys will be handing out stripes to white, blue, purple and brown (?) belts, as well as hosting a mini-seminar on Saturday 9th of July 2011, from 1.30 to 4.30. The cost will be £7.50, and all proceeds go to club funds to help bring Braulio Estima and other world-class black belts to GBNI. See you there! Braulio Estima treated GBNI members to a masterclass on side control on Friday the 13th at a closed seminar at Danny Corr’s gym in Newtownabbey. |
